The subtle art of being grateful this December. It’s Christmas , the last day of blogmas and a time for us all to start thinking and being grateful for what we have. With all the rush and chaos of December, it’s so important to just step back and take a breather. To realise that although this may be such a happy day for some, others might be struggling. To realise what we have and to be grateful. This blog post is simply a reminder, what are you grateful for this year?
The Simple Things Really Matter
As much fun as it is to gift and receive during this season, I think it’s so important to appreciate the little acts that make a difference, whether you know it or not. Just saying a few kind words can really brighten someones day, or heck a hug is always good too. Be appreciate of what you have, if you’re fortunate enough to have a roof over your head and food every day on the table. Sometimes a reminder is much needed!
Be Appreciative Of Yourself
Be grateful this December, by appreciating yourself. It’s so easy to get lost in the chaos, but just stop for a moment because your presence alone means so much to other people. And if they can appreciate and be grateful of you, why can’t you be of yourself? I mean this month, you’ve probably been running around with so many errands, basically acting like superman. Most likely, you got them all done with maybe spare time to keep up normal duties such as fitting in family and friends. Sometimes we brush over the mediocre acts. They’re way underrated and I think we all need to realise that what we do is impressive. So be grateful, treat yourself as much as you have treated others.
The Heroes That Kept You Sane
Whether it be having supportive friends and family who helped you out a lot this season, or even that planner which helped you be organised, we definitely have to give them a shout-out for being there for us. A lot of us might have that one person we go to when things get tough, online or in real life. These are the sort of people who are heroes without the cape. We’ve probably gifted them a present and of course they will be appreciative of that. However as I mentioned previously, those kind, encouraging words can really make a difference. Those are the sort that are personal and stick by you.
