Gift Guide For Young Readers

With 2020 around the corner, this is a perfect opportunity for new hobbies to be taken on! Reading should definitely be encouraged especially among young readers! In this post, I’ll be offering my bookish gifts which are ideal for young readers!

Bedtime Stories Never Get Old For Young Readers

As a child, I loved bedtime stories! Although I still do if I’m being honest. From a young age, bedtime stories were read to me and since then I fell in love with reading. Plus, mine always included a good moral in the story so it is a win win! One book that I read recently and loved is good night stories for rebel girls! This book should be read by both boys and girls, it’s inspirational and empowering!

Personalised Bookish Gift

I love a good personalised books and I’m sure your young reader will appreciate it too! This could be anything from a handy bookmark or even a story which can have them as the main character! Plus, it will be a gift to remember as well as a special Christmas!

Harry Potter Anything

So Harry Potter is pretty much universally loved. The books made me absolutely love anything to do with magic and I loved the sense of pride I felt whenever I had the opportunity to announce I am a gryffindor. So by either gifting your young reader the books, a nerdy Harry Potter t-shirt or anything house related, I’m sure they will love it and enter the Potterhead fandom!

Reading Journal

a journal paired with a book showing my september reading journal, gift gude for young readers

If you and/or your young reader love to have a set structure and routine then this is a perfect gift for them! I loved doing anything arts and crafts like and a reading journal is a great way to get your creative juices out! This journal could include anything from thoughts on a book, when it was finished or started and even which characters they liked the most! Along with this gift you could include some nice stationery, this might be a great stocking filler gift! If you need any inspiration for spread layouts, I’d recommend Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram and I even have a blog post I did in September about my own reading journal!

Bookish Knick Knacks

So a lot can go under this category! A reading light could be great on a bedside table. As well as tote bags with a favourite quote, booksleeves to protect a book and much, much more! These would all be great to go in a stocking, but no matter what you choose, a gift is a gift and I’m sure they will appreciate it!

I hope this post offered some good gift ideas! I’d love to know your thoughts and whether or not you might go for some of them! Tomorrow’s blogmas post will include a tag created by me! For a little hint, it’s all about different sized books. Be sure to head on over to my Instagram where there is an ongoing giveaway and thank you for reading this post! Hope you all have a lovely day!
