We all know it’s hard to make your Instagram photos look nice, especially when you never know what props to use and where to find them! But after months of trial and error, I think I’ve found the perfect balance of props to use for amazing Instagram photos! So what better way to share my tips through my blog too! In this post I hope that you will all get some inspiration for prop ideas and realise that you really don’t have to go searching! If you missed yesterday’s blogmas post about festive Instagram tips, be sure to check it out as you may learn a thing or two!
1. Grab A Paper And Pen
This prop may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I love adding in a good quote for my pictures! Props can be so easy to find! Countless of times, I’ve used quotes in my pictures as it’s always nice to spread some positivity! And using quotes in December, where everyone has happy vibes, is perfect. It barely costs a penny too. Plus, I’ve found by using quotes, people tend to look at your post on Instagram for longer. This in turn normally encourages them to post a comment!
2. Props Can Be Free, Head Outside
During the colder months, everyone loves to use some nice pine cones, leaves or even conkers! In the warmer months, flowers are a must too! And these props are easily accessible too. You just have to head outside and they may even be right at your doorstep. Of course, if you want the props to last longer, faux leaves etc are always available too! But for those of us who can’t afford to spend money on props, this one is for you!
3. The Kitchen Is Always A Good Idea
Kitchenware can be so cute. Adding in a mug in your pictures, automatically means brownie points to a cosy picture! It doesn’t even have to be a mug, decorative plates are always nice or even wooden trays are nice for that rustic aesthetic. The kitchenware doesn’t have to be fancy too. If they don’t look that cute, maybe your DIY skills could come into handy. Or if not in the UK, any poundland will sell some nice kitchenware. And for a cheap price, you’ve bagged yourself a bargain.
4. Kitchen=Food=Nice Instagram Props
The kitchen does have many uses. Including food. Being a foodie, I know I will most likely have something nice that I can arrange on a plate and it will equal an Instagram picture I’m proud of. Or if food isn’t really your thing, then a beverage can do the job too. People find inspiration in many things, I guess mine is food. As I have a bookstagram account, the perfect combination to me is books and food. What more could you want?
Well, if you are a foodie like me and wouldn’t mind putting food in your pictures, then you’re in luck! For Blogmas day 3, tomorrows post is inspired by my favourite books, movies and TV shows. I’m making biscuits based of them and if that doesn’t sound like a cosy, Christmas activity I’m not quite sure what is!
I hope this post has proven to be useful, let me know if you already follow these tips or if you’d like to take them on board! Be sure to check in with tomorrows blog post too!
