To prepare for the new year, a vision board is the perfect idea to see your goals into action and to become more organised. As well as this ,they’re also fun to put together and make too! So, as there are only 11 days until Christmas, why not put some time aside to think about what you want for your future. With this post, I’m going to share some tips on how I created my own vision board and how you can do yours!
Know Your Vision
First, you have to think about what your vision is. What do you hope to complete by the end of 2020. Think about some dreams and goals that you’ve always wanted to accomplish. Although, they may seem like it’s impossible to complete them, with hard work and dedication you’ll get there! Once you know what your vision is, the next step is to simply bring your vision to life!
Let Your Creative Side Out
Now this is the fun part! Dedicate some time to do a lot of magazine, Pinterest and google searching! This is the time to find pictures or words that you want to represent yourself! You really don’t need any fancy supplies to start your own vision board! Grab a huge piece of paper or reuse some cardboard and you’re already off to a great start!
What I like to do, is look at inspiring pictures. I then cut them out and stick it to my board! This is why I love using Pinterest as there is inspiration everywhere! It’s a visual search engine and we have to use it to our advantage! But, remember not to pick pictures just because they go with the rest of the board! If you want to do that, then what you’re looking at is an aesthetic mood board.
Moods And Feelings Are Taken Into Consideration
So all in all, you need to be able to feel like you can achieve these set goals! If you want to have a successful blog or business, you need to already feel like you can do it and have the motivation. If you don’t feel excited by this prospect, then how do you think you’re going to achieve this goal? As well as this, if you want to have that body you’ve dreamed of and you see an image of what you think is “the perfect body” and you feel like you’re never going to achieve that or you don’t feel the best by looking at that photo, don’t put that picture on your vision board! You want all of the positive feelings when you look at this vision board, think of it as a happy space I guess. The key is to believe in your goals and that this vision board can come to life!
Anywhere Is Good
This board can go anywhere you want! If you feel more motivated if you see it in an open space that’s cool! But others might want to place the board inside a closed space where only you can see it, and that’s fine if it’s what you’re comfortable with! You might’ve noticed that I have kind of done the same, I’ve featured some of the pictures from my vision board, but not the whole thing as it’s personal to me!
I hope this has been a useful and helpful post! I’d love to know if you might create your own vision board and if you decided to take on these tips too! Let me know your thoughts on this post! Be sure to check out my Instagram where you can know what my next post or previous posts are. Tomorrow will be my bookish and blog resolutions that I hope to achieve in the new year. All of those ideas will be included in my own vision board too! Thank you for reading this post and I hope you have a great day!
